About Protege Academy

The Protege mission is to provide each student with a specialized, national and international education which prepares them for a career in cosmetology by ensuring a strong foundation in accordance with the Michigan State Board of Cosmetology criteria. Our goal is to educate our students in the highest standards of business, ethics and techniques that will set them apart.

With 28 years of experience within the beauty and fashion industry. There is a drive to cultivate and nurture other people's lives. Your future success is our goal in creating Proteges of the Beauty Industry. We have a talented team of professionals Internationally/Nationally trained educators, state of the art facilities, and highly innovative products.

Protege Academy making Exceptional Education Affordable

In 2010, 83.87% of students that started their program completed it, and 94.44% of students that took State Board went on to pass. Additionally, 82.61% of students that received their license were placed in employment.

Protege is conveniently located in East Lansing just north of Lake Lansing Rd at Chandler Crossings.

In our commitment to be a greener school we participate in a recycling program, teaching the importance that we can all make a difference whether on an  individual basis or as a company. In our responsibility to our customer and students, Protege Academy uses PPD free color. PPD's are the suspected carcinogens (black coal tar fillers that allow production costs to be less)

Protege Academy also has complete lines of Sulfate Free Shampoo and Conditioner for retail.
